Mark of Nash Smith & Ganges got in touch with me today, left me a message to give ’em a listen, and what a talented bunch they are. What we have is Slow-Core that takes me back to the days when i was listening to Damon & Naomi, where the basic similarity is that the lady & the gent share vocal duties. They lull us gently with a Dream Pop edge then drop us face-first into a Shoegaze abyss.

The new Damon & Naomi album, False Beats and True Hearts, will be released May 9 by 20/20/20 in the US, Broken Horse in the UK, and P-Vine Records in Japan. Download the opening track now, “Walking Backwards”.

      Hey! Sweeney,

Yep! we can meet, i hear that the doors are open at 8pm. I’m meeting a few other people for a pre-gig pint at ZERO DEGREE which is near Colston Hall, i should be there between 6pm and 7.30pm. The Mango Beer at Zero Degrees is Amazing! Hope to see you there, we’ll be the group of bearded Welsh men, you cant miss us 🙂

Will try to make Zero Degrees – is that the bar with the micro brewery on site? – but coming up from Gloucester and a few working commitments may mean we have to see you there. Will look out for bearded Welshmen, I’m sure there won’t be many of those at a Gruff Rhys gig!
